Dear TLR members and enthusiasts
We are very pleased to inform you all of the planned Concours d’Elegance that is being held on 26 June 2016 at the Pretoria Botanical Gardens.
Before we go any further, THIS IS A FUN LOTUS EVENT, not the normal severe Concours’Etat that some car clubs participate in. No heavy technical requirements and meticulously prepared cars … just normal everyday Lotus cars, replicas and derivatives of Lotus cars. We will also try to celebrate the 50th year of existence of the Elan. (Entries permitted). Dr Wayne, you can even bring that dodgy black Evora jobbie to the day!!!
The judging will be done by some with a lot of Lotus knowledge, some with an eye for beauty, some with an eye for colour and style (eg a number a judges from the fairer sex will also help).
The Concours will also act as the June Breakfast Run … yes, it is a week later than normal but this was done because of 16 June being a holiday and could influence people to use that weekend to go away. The Gardens have 2 breakfast venues to pick from and both come highly recommended.
We can start arriving from around 08.00 onwards, those entered will be directed to a spot in the Gardens, others will park in the car park and entry fee to the Gardens is R30 per adult. Feel free to bring your own picnic hamper and ensure you bring chairs along.

We look forward to TLR filling up the Gardens on the day … and by latest 13.00 you can be on your way again to enjoy the remainder of your Sunday.
